The Easter Sunrise Service – Your Questions Answered

We’ll gather on Easter morning at 6:45 to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.  It will take place in the front parking lot near the bell tower.  For those who have never attended the Sunrise Service, here are answers to some questions you may have.

Q:  Where do I park?
A:  Everyone will park on the “other side” of Five Forks Road (the parking lot by the ballfield).

Q:  Do we sit or stand?
A:  Many will stand, but we do set up approximately 50 chairs for those who have difficulty standing.

Q:  Won’t it be cold?
A:   Too soon to tell, but yes, most likely.  Dress in layers.  Those who need to sit may choose to bring a blanket to lay across their lap.

Q:  What if it rains?
A:  The service will be moved inside to the Auditorium.

Q: What happens during the service?
A:  We will sing a number of songs celebrating Jesus’ resurrection.  This year Tedd Smith will be bringing a short devotional.  The service will last 20-25 minutes.

Q:  I’m staying for the 8:00 service.  What is there to do between the end of the Sunrise Service and the start of the 8:00 service?
A:  The café is a very busy place at the conclusion of the Sunrise Service.  Our usual fare of hot beverages and donuts will be served. Many will sit in the main café area with overflow seating available in the Children’s Wing foyer.
