An electrical cord lies there on the floor, with an outlet on a nearby wall. We all know that it’s necessary to plug the cord into the outlet for anything to happen. This example of the importance of getting “plugged in” is something we think about a lot here at Five Forks.
Every month we have individuals and families begin attending services, and we realize just how important it is to make sure they feel welcomed into our church family…connected…plugged in.
CONNECT CLASS will meet three Sundays at the same time (11:00 A.M.) and same location (lower lobby cafe tables). We believe those who attend this 3-week class will come away with a good understanding of what is happening here at Five Forks Church. Here is how this class is broken down:
October 31st – Who We Are/What We Believe. (What are the core values of the Brethren in Christ denomination and what do we emphasize here at Five Forks?) Led by Pastor Bill
November 7th – How We Function (What is the role of the pastors, our governing board, our committees, etc.) Led by Steve Mitchell.
November 14th – Getting Plugged In (What opportunities exist for our newcomers to be able to join us in serving each other, our community, and Jesus.) Led by Chris Bumbaugh
Again, if you have started attending Five Forks recently and would like to attend – please contact Pastor Shaun so we can reserve a spot for you!
