Hurry Up and…Rest?
Baseball great Casey Stengel is credited with the saying, “He runs fast, but he runs too long in one place.” It’s a relatively kind way of saying that a slower player doesn’t have very good speed on the base paths. Well, sometimes our walk with Jesus can feel like that of the runner – a lot of churn but little progress. But the good news is that we can rest in the work of Jesus and get on with helping to build His Kingdom. In continuing our year-long theme of “Energized for Action”, this Sunday Pastor Larry will share a message entitled “The Marks of a Deep Disciple” See you then!
Speaking of baseball, we hope to see you at the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars game and fireworks tonight at Meritus Park! When you arrive at the ballpark, go to the ticket booth in center field to snag your tickets. Pastor Larry will be there to help as needed.
