The Results are In
We want to thank all of you who participated in the voting process that took place from Sunday, January 18th through Sunday, February 1st. During that time, over 160 paper ballots and electronic ballots were received, and this past Monday board members Joyce Benedict, Ed Herald, and Jean Showalter met at the church to count and tabulate the ballots. Here are the results:
Church Board:
As you are aware, this year presented highly unique circumstances due to both Sharon Smith (2027) and Chris Shindledecker (2028) stepping down from their roles. As a result, five candidates were elected, with the top-3 vote getters being placed in the full 3-year terms, the 4th place vote being placed in the remaining 2-year term, and the 5th place vote getter being placed in the remaining 1-year term. Below is the list of those who will be fulfilling those terms based upon the voting results.
3-Year Terms: Ken Arendt, Randy Eberly, Jim McFerren
2-Year Term: Katie Wilmot
1-Year Term: Mark Flohr
The new Board will reorganize at the February board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 10th.
Confirmation Votes
Kevin and Melissa Grove, Fred and Kim Hardt, Laverne and Laura Petersheim, and Ray and Yvonne Rottler were confirmed to serve on the Deacon Board. These are 5-year terms. Mike Leese and Scott Martin were confirmed to serve on the Grounds and Maintenance Committee, and Ed Sollenberger and Ed Schaeffer were confirmed to serve on the Finance Committee; both of these committees carry 3-year terms.
