Our Annual Council will be held on Sunday, January 18 at 11:00 A.M. in the Auditorium.
Sunday, January 18 will mark the beginning of an 8-day voting period, during which all persons age 16 and above who consider themselves to be a part of Five Forks Church, will have the opportunity to elect three representatives to the Church Board, confirm those who have been recommended to serve on various Committees, and approve the 2026 Spending Plan.
CHURCH BOARD ELECTION: You will be provided with a slate of six candidates and will be asked to vote for five to serve as Congregational Representatives to the Board. The six candidates are Ken Arendt, Randy Eberly, Mark Flohr, Denise Gelsinger, Jim McFerren, Katie Wilmot. Additional information is available by going HERE in order to get to know more about these five candidates.
CONFIRMATIONS: We will be looking for you to confirm these names for the following positions:
Deacon Board: Kevin & Melissa Grove, Fred & Kim Hardt, Laverne & Laura Petersheim, Ray & Yvonne Rottler
Grounds & Maintenance Committee: Michael Leese, Scott Martin
Finance Committee: Nate Shadel, Ed Shaffer
SPENDING PLAN: The Church Board is recommending a Spending Plan figure of $847,610 for 2026. This is a decrease of $125,621 over last year.
The voting period begins at the conclusion of the Council Meeting and runs through Sunday, January 25. Paper ballots and ballot boxes will be available in the foyer on the night of Council for those who would choose to vote that morning. However, voting can also be done electronically through the 25th. Paper ballots are being mailed to those households where we do not have an email address.
Please commit this morning to prayer and make plans to attend and participate in this year’s Annual Council Meeting on the 18th!
