So, What Do You Do?
The tendency in our culture is to be identified primarily by the work that one does on a daily basis. And that is not necessarily a bad thing. You may have heard the saying, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Well, have you ever considered your job to be a blessing? Are you finding time for sabbath from your work? Maybe that should help us to determine whether we are doing the work that God has created us to do. Please join us this week as Pastor Ray continues the 3-week series on “Practicing Sabbath”, as he will be sharing this week’s message entitled “Changing Our View of Work”. See you Sunday!
Lead Pastor Search Update
It’s time once again for an update regarding the search for our next Lead Pastor. We pray soon an announcement and introduction will be made in lieu of an update while all of us are committed to being obedient to God in this process.
In the last update, it was mentioned Director Robinson had another candidate in the screening process. In fact, we can happily inform you there has been two additional candidates through the pre-screening process. We now have interviews scheduled with both candidates in the first half of December. Once the interviews are completed the committee will determine the next steps.
As always, we appreciate your continued prayers and patience while this important work is proceeding.
And finally, this is the last Sunday to bring your non-perishable food items for the Thanksgiving Food Drive, and we have also extended the date to this Sunday morning to bring your filled Operation Christmas Child boxes . Thank you!
