Stop, Look, and Listen!

Stop, Look, and Listen!
There sure are a lot of railroad tracks in our area. Many of the rail crossings, predominantly in rural areas, don’t include the trademark red flashing lights let alone the mechanical gates to stop car traffic. Those crossings simply have a cross sign with the warning, “Stop, Look, and Listen.” If you think about it, this is how we are to interact with one another. We need to stop being self-focused, look around to see who may be hurting and need the love of Jesus, and listen to what is on the heart of that person and walk with them. That’s what Jesus does. This week Pastor Brady will continue the series called “Becoming Tov”, with this week’s sermon entitled “Becoming Empathetic & Compassionate.” We hope that the next time you come to a railroad crossing and see the cross, it will remind you to be empathetic and compassionate for those in need. Let’s learn how to develop these attributes together as we gather this Sunday!
