God, Jonah, and the Fish
As we continue to explore the story of Jonah, this Sunday we meet the two primary characters: God and Jonah. Pastor Shaun will point out that the fish is not mentioned, because the story is first about God and Jonah. Which reminds us that our lives are first about the interaction, experience and relationship that happens between God and ourselves. We don’t want to miss the main point of this story, and surely not the main purpose of our lives because we are focused on secondary issues.
Shaun’s sermon is called “Running the Wrong Way”, and our Scripture text is Jonah, chapter one. Be sure to read this before we gather together this Sunday morning!
