Living in a World of Lonely People
We are living in a world of lonely people. Perhaps you are one of them. Even if not now, I imagine most of us at some point in our lives have experienced the painful feeling of loneliness. Hurts to share and no one to listen. A need in life and no one to meet it. Love to give and no one to receive it.
This week as Pastor Shaun continues his sermon series called Pursuing Wholeness, we’ll turn our attention to Loneliness. We’ll remain in the 19th chapter of I Kings, unpacking the mental health battle the prophet Elijah was walking through. We’ll look at his experience of loneliness and why he experienced it. And see what God looks to do in order to help us with our battle with loneliness.
Note: This week in both services we’ll have the opportunity to watch a short video that will tell the story of the Kentucky Missions Trip some of our students recently went on. Also, Jim and Amy Stein will be brought into membership at the 8:00 service.
