The Announcement

This Sunday marks the beginning of the Advent Season, and Pastor Shaun also begins a 4-week sermon series where we will go on a journey with Mary, the mother of Jesus.  The primary reason Shaun is doing this is because Mary ultimately points us to Jesus.

We’ll begin by looking at what is often referred to as The Annunciation, which is the term used to describe the announcement of Jesus’ birth.  As we do, we’ll come across a number of surprises, look to appreciate Mary’s response, and consider the faithfulness of God.  Our Scripture text is found in Luke 1:26-38.
