Gathering and Giving Out Food
Thanksgiving Day approaches, and it provides us with an opportunity to express our gratitude to God for the many ways He has blessed us and provided for us.   One way to show our gratitude is by looking for opportunities to bless and provide for others.
We will look to do this by bringing to the church non-perishable food items that will be shared with others in our church family.  Items including (but not limited to) fruit, vegetables, pasta, and cereal can be brought to the church on any of the first three Sundays in November(7th, 14th, 21st).   Please see any of our greeters if you need one of them to carry your food from your vehicle into the church.  Food may also be dropped off at the church office between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on any weekday leading up to the 21st
Combined Service on Thanksgiving Sunday
On November 21st we will combine our two Sunday morning services and meet as one for a special Thanksgiving service.  This service will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. with a number of our students leading us in a time of worship.  A few individuals from our congregation will share their stories of God’s faithfulness to them, and Pastor Ray will lead a short devotional.
Packing 50,000 Meals
Pastor Brady and our Student Ministries are working with an organization called RISE AGAINST HUNGER to sponsor a special church event later that same day (November 21st).  We will be looking for 150 volunteers to meet in the gym to help pack 50,000 meals from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.  Click HERE to sign up.
Join us during these times when we will be gathering together to give thanks to God for His faithfulness to us, and show our gratitude by serving others!
