People Are Important
Luke has written about an encounter that took place between Jesus and a religious leader named Simon (who had invited Jesus to dinner), and a woman from the same town who “lived a sinful life.” Jesus takes advantage of this encounter to teach Simon – and us – an important lesson about honoring other people. Pastor Shaun will bring the message, so go ahead and read Luke’s account which can be found in chapter 7, verses 36 through 50.

One other important thing to note: For the past year we have referred to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) regarding COVID-19 guidelines, such as wearing masks. As many of you know, we have asked everyone (except for health reasons) to wear a mask when entering and leaving, aware of the personal choice that is involved when it comes to wearing a mask. This past week the CDC has made an announcement, easing their mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings. This is welcome news!
In regard to physical distancing, we will continue to ask everyone to be seated in the designated rows (orange labels at 8:00 A.M., white labels at 9:45 A.M.) upon entering the Auditorium. The nature of our services, specifically the singing, leads us to continue this practice for the time being.
We’re looking forward to worshipping Jesus with you this Sunday!
