Sitting at Jesus’ Feet

As we look at the life of Jesus, one thing that stands out is all the interaction He had with the marginalized, those who were viewed as outsiders in His day.  A tax collector, a Roman Centurion, a Samaritan, various lepers, and women.  Jesus interacted, included, and welcomed women into His community in a way that was not being done in that culture at that time.

This Sunday Pastor Shaun begins a 5-week series where he will have us look at several encounters that Jesus had with different women.  This Sunday we will take a close look at the interaction that takes place between Jesus, Martha, and Mary, as recorded in Luke’s gospel (10:38-42).  It’s here that we see Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet, listening to what He said.  Shaun will challenge us to think about what it means for us to sit at Jesus’ feet and listen.

Be sure to join us this Sunday for one or more of the services…either In-Person on over the Live Stream.
