Weary and Burdened?

Last week Pastor Shaun began a 5-week sermon series called Hurry Up!  What we looked at and what God pointed out to us appears to have resonated with many of us.  Our hurried, overly-scheduled lifestyle can pose a serious threat in our desire to be a follower of Jesus.
This Sunday we’re going to be reflecting on an invitation that Jesus extends to all of us:  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened…and I will give you rest.”
“This is an invitation for all the tired, the burned-out, the stressed, and all those stuck in traffic and behind on their to-do lists, reaching for another cup of coffee just to make it through the day…”  (John Mark Comer)
Jesus goes on to talk about His yoke, and many of us today probably have no idea what Jesus is talking about.  Shaun will explain the easy yoke that Jesus offers, and it’s fascinating…and can be life-changing.
We anticipate that this will be the last Sunday that we will be “Live-Stream Only.”  And so for one last week, clear your schedule for an hour this Sunday morning (9:30 to 10:30), and let’s worship Jesus together even as we are scattered throughout the area.
