We are looking forward to two important gatherings this weekend. First, we are calling the church to gather for prayer this evening from 7:00 P.M.to 8:00 P.M. For those who are able to come to the church, we will be meeting in the Chapel and observing the usual protocols; sitting every other row, masking as we enter and as we leave, but free to remove your mask when you are in your seat.
During this hour, we will give Him the praise that He is so worthy of and acknowledge our complete dependence on Him, and confess and repent of those times when we have depended on ourselves. We will intercede for others in our church, community, nation, and world. We will ask Him to guide our church during and through these challenging times, praying that as a congregation, we will hear His voice and be trusting and obedient in our response.
For those who are unable to gather in the Chapel, we encourage you to participate by praying from home. The Lord will hear our prayers wherever they come from.
Our second gathering will take place on Sunday morning as the church comes together for our weekly worship services. Pastor Ray will bring the message as he continues his series called For Someone Your Age. Last week we looked at what the children of our church have to offer and what they need from the rest of us. This week we turn our attention to youth and young adults and will be asking the same questions: What does this generation have to offer, and what do they need from us? Ray’s message is titled Hold Me Close While You Let Me Go. Our Scripture text is Luke 15, 11-32.
We hope to see you this Sunday, but if you can’t be here please be sure to catch one or both of the services as we live stream at 8:00 and again at 10:30.
Go HERE five minutes prior to either service to view the live stream.
Go HERE for an outline for this week’s message.
We’ll also be singing to God and about God as we gather; here are the songs for Sunday:
I Stand Amazed in the Presence
It Is Well With My Soul
Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow
How Great Thou Art
You Make Me Brave
Anchor of Hope
God With Us
Death Was Arrested
And just a reminder of what has become our standard protocol:
If you find yourself in a high-risk category, it would be wise to view the service via the live stream.
Please remain at home if you do not feel well or if you have been around someone who has not been well, and again, be sure to join us by viewing the live stream.
We will continue to ask that everyone (except for health reasons) wear a mask as you enter and as you leave.
Please continue to practice physical distancing at all times.
Even as we are seated in every other row, please go out of your way to establish a generous amount of distance between yourself and others when choosing your seat. The room is large enough for us to spread out quite a bit.
At the same time, please engage in conversations with those around you!
When using the restroom, please wash your hands thoroughly. Please continue to make use of the hand sanitizer that we have in the foyer and in the Auditorium.
Thank you, and we’re looking forward to worshipping Jesus with you this Sunday!
