Doing the Right Thing

One aspect of courage is doing the right thing, even when it’s hard. And courage is the theme of this week’s sermon from our Make or Break series. We’ll talk about those difficult spots we sometimes find ourselves in when we are tempted to compromise or even set aside our beliefs and values.

As a staff, we’re really looking forward to this weekend, especially Saturday evening as we will be having an outdoor worship service at the ballfield across the road from the church. Here are a few things to keep in mind if you are planning to attend:
  • The service begins at 7:00pm.
  • Please bring either a blanket or a lawn chair as we will be gathering in the outfield grass.
  • Please maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and others that you have not been around.
  • There are approximately 20 parking spots along the outfield fence; please leave these spaces for those who may wish to attend but remain in their vehicles.
  • We will have boxes available at both corners of the outfield where people can place their offering.
  • We will have handouts available with lyrics to the songs that we will be singing (similar to what we have done at the Easter Sunrise Service).
We will also be having our regular services on Sunday morning at 8:00 and 10:30. Both services will also be live-streamed.

Go HERE five minutes before the start of either service on Sunday morning to view the live stream.

Go HERE for the outline to Pastor Bill’s message:  “Let No One Lose Heart”. Our Scripture text is found in I Samuel chapter 17, verses 32:50. As we look for God to teach us, we’ll be looking at the courage of three prominent men in this passage – Saul, Goliath, and David.
