Community Life – Praying Together

While we all are intent on practicing physical distancing, we appreciate the fact that many of you are taking steps to remain connected to the Church and others in your church family during this pandemic.

Over the course of the past few weeks, we as a staff have been talking about the importance of our church family continuing to experience Community Life, which you may recall was the theme of our January sermon series.  Over the course of four weeks, we talked about working together, playing together, eating together, and finally, praying together.  The pandemic has made this challenging to some degree, and yet through the Live Stream, Spirit Week, Communion, and other means we have been able to continue to experience Community Life over the course of these past two months.

We have another opportunity before us, as next Thursday, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer.  What we would like to do is provide an opportunity for our church family to come together to ensure that we are praying for our church, nation, and world throughout that day.  We are going to be looking to fill 48 time slots, each time slot is 30 minutes long, starting at 12:00 A.M. next Thursday with the last time slot starting at 11:30 P.M. that same evening.  In short, we are looking for 48 individuals from our church family to commit to praying throughout a specific 30-minute period next Thursday.

Below we are providing a link that will take you to the page where you will see which of the 30-minute time slots have been taken and which ones remain available.  Once you select one of the available time slots, you will have the opportunity to leave a comment, so feel free to share a specific request for which others can be praying.

You will have the option of including your name, and while it’s not required, it would be great to know those of you who will be joining us on that day!  We are looking forward to spending next Thursday praying for you and with you.  Please go to THIS LINK to get started!
