This Sunday we continue our sermon series, The Old Testament: Why Bother? This Sunday we will be looking at what confuses many, and that is the Old Testament laws. For instance,
When you build your new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if someone falls from your roof. (Deuteronomy 22:8)
We may ask, “What is a parapet, and what is someone doing on my roof?” And yet behind this law lies an important principle that still applies to us today. Pastors Shaun (Auditorium) and Bill (Chapel) will be sharing about 3 specific types of laws – Ceremonial, Civil, and Moral – so that we can better understand the laws found in the Old Testament, and learn what God is teaching us through them.
Note: We will be baptizing 3 individuals this Sunday morning!
