“The Lord Will Do Amazing Things Among You.”

Can you fill in the blank:  “Take my life and let it be _______________, Lord, to Thee.”
If your answer was “consecrated”, you would be correct.   This sentence, this word, comes from a hymn that may be familiar for many of you.  However I wonder how many of us would be able to define exactly what the word “consecrated” means?
This Sunday Pastors Bill (Auditorium) and Ray (Chapel) bring the final message of 2019.  In Joshua 3:5, Joshua says to the Israelites, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”   The Israelites were about to enter into the Promised Land, you and I are about to enter into a new year.   It seems to be a good time to talk about what it means to be consecrated, because we are looking for God to do amazing things among us…individually and as a congregation.
If you have time, why not read the first 6 chapters of the book of Joshua?  It will help prepare you for the message and may help you gain even more understanding as the message is preached.  See you Sunday!
