Curtains

This Sunday morning we wrap up our sermon series From Slavery to Intimacy.   God’s desire is for us is not just to know about Him, but to know Him personally and intimately.   This is our desire as well as we want to experience His presence in our day to day lives.
This Sunday we’ll see how – for the Israelites – a series of curtains (of all things) served as barriers to God’s presence.  We’ll see how Jesus came and took care of those barriers, and see what we must do in order not to erect barriers of our own…barriers that would hinder intimacy with God.
Pastors Bill (Auditorium) and Ray (Chapel) will bring the messages, with our main Scripture text coming from Exodus 40.   Go ahead and read this chapter prior to Sunday’s sermon, and see if you can’t identify the theme that emerges time and time again.  This theme helps us to see what our part is in experiencing intimacy with God.
