Forgive Us Our Debts

Our series is titled Whoever Hears These Words based on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.  In the midst of this sermon we find The Lord’s Prayer and we’ve been looking at various aspects of this prayer for the past few weeks. We’ve seen that God…
 …is personal
…is BIG
…cares about the small things (including our prayers)
This we week we come to this phrase:  “And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.”
This Sunday Pastors Shaun (Auditorium) and Brian (Chapel) will talk about the art of asking for forgiveness; openly admitting our failures and short-comings to God.  The word that we use to describe this is Confession, which is the title of this week’s sermon.   Read Matthew 6:5-15 before you come this Sunday!
