To Tell the Truth

“No more oaths. Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’”  For those who follow Jesus, oaths are not necessary to obligate you to tell the truth, because His followers ALWAYS tell the truth.  We don’t need to swear on a Bible in ensure we tell the truth, because we always tell the truth.  We speak the truth in the courtroom and in the hallway outside the courtroom.
This Sunday we come to the passage in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount where He talks about INTEGRITY when it comes to the words that we speak.  One of the reasons that Jesus addressed this was because the Jews had created levels of integrity…where they were obligated to tell the truth ‘here’ but not ‘there.’
This Sunday Pastors Bill (Auditorium) and Brian (Chapel) bring the messages, and our main Scripture text is Matthew 5:33-37.   We’ll talk about Levels of IntegrityIntegrity in Everyday LifeBecoming People of Integrity
