Salt and Light

Salt and light are two things we pretty much take for granted these days.  Salt on every table.  Sun goes down? No, problem, just flick on the lights.  But in ancient cultures, salt and light were precious commodities.
This Sunday as we continue our sermon series Whoever Hears These Words, Pastors Shaun (Auditorium) and Bill (Chapel) will take us to the part of Jesus’ sermon where He looks to the crowd and says, “You are the salt of the earth…you are the light of the world.”
We’ll look at what Jesus means as He uses these two images, and talk about some practical ways that we can be salt and light in the world today.
NOTE:  This is also our first Baptism Sunday of 2019, and we have four who will be baptized this Sunday morning.
