Building Bigger Barns

Have you ever noticed how many storage unit there are these days.  For every Starbucks, there are 5 storage units.    It’s the fastest growing commercial real estate industry over the past 40 years.
This Sunday in the Auditorium Pastor Shaun continues his sermon series called The Art of Contentment.  We’ll be talking about the importance of Sharing Generously.   And some of us may not have the resources or time to share generously because we are consumed by storing our piles of stuff.   Our Scripture text is found in Luke 12…where Jesus tells a parable about a man who had so much stuff he set out to build bigger barns.
In the Chapel Pastor Bill continues his series called Ancient Words, Ever True.  The theme of Bill’s message is similar, as we will look to Jesus to help us think about The Way We Give.    Jesus will show us that there is an external guideline (the tithe) and an inner compulsion (the heart) when it comes to our giving.  Our Scripture text is found in Luke 11:37-42.
