September is Here!

September is here and so we begin two new sermon series that will take us through the next 5 Sundays. Pastor Ray has the series in the Auditorium this month; it’s called Our Weakness, God’s Strength. Starting this Sunday, we will see that God often works in and through the weaknesses of His people, rather than through our own strength.   Ray’s sermon for this first Sunday is called Dealing With Depression and our main Scripture texts come from Psalm 42 and 2 Corinthians 7-10.
Pastor Shaun has the September series in the Chapel.   We’ll be studying the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob).   We’ll be looking to discover God in the lives of the patriarchs, and this Sunday’s sermon is titled That Sounds a Little Strange because the man God first calls (Abraham) comes from a people who were known for pagan moon worship.   Our Scripture text comes from Genesis 12, verses 1-3.
