Another “Good Question”

So far in our sermon series Good Question, we’ve looked at “Isn’t the Bible Outdated” and “Hasn’t Modern Science Made Faith Irrelevant?”   This Sunday’s good question is “What About All of the Atrocities Committed by the Church?”
Pastor Shaun begins the message this Sunday by addressing some of our failures over the past 2000 years. At the same time, he’ll also bring out many of the good and valuable contributions that the church has made during that same time. The Church – in spite of it’s failures – has also been a force for good and beauty. This happens when we walk with the One who lived among us and taught us why and how to live like Him.
Pastor Brian continues his series I Know a Guy Named Noah in the Chapel service at 11:00. This Sunday Brian will have us looking at “Noah: The Judgment.”   We will see the compassion of God, and the fact that He is “merciful and long-suffering.” Brian will also have us look at the judgment of God and see that it does not arise rashly out of rage.   Most significantly, we’ll see that the bounty of God’s love satisfies the demands of God’s justice.
