We kick off the new year with a series on Esther, one of the most compelling narratives found in the Scriptures. Pastor Bill will bring this series called Beneath the Surface in the Auditorium throughout the month of January.
This week we will read about a drunken and boastful king, a self-respecting queen, and an ongoing beauty pageant. We will also come to see the absence of any mention of God, and talk about why the author would deliberately do this. Read Esther chapters 1 & 2 in preparation for Sunday’s message.
Pastor Ray also begins a January series in the Chapel called Faith Builders. Ray’s message is titled What Must I Do? We’ll be talking about the importance of not just gaining biblical knowledge, but correctly applying it to our everyday lives. Read Matthew 7:24-29 to prepare.
