So far in our sermon series called Doubletake, we’ve talked about hating our family, and the unpardonable sin. We’re looking at some of Jesus’ harder sayings, and this Sunday in the Auditorium Pastor Bill will have us look at a passage where we are told not to throw our pearls to pigs.
Many take this to mean that there are some who are so sinful, who have such hard hearts that you’re better off not even trying to share Jesus’ story with them. But is this what Jesus is really saying? Read Matthew 7:1-6 before you arrive on Sunday.
In the Chapel Pastor Ray continues his series called A Man For All Seasons. Ray is using the 4 climate seasons to show us how they tend to mirror spiritual seasons that we find ourselves in. If you were in the Chapel last week you know that Ray began with Winter, and this Sunday we will be in the season of Spring. Ray’s message is titled Springtime Renewal and our Scripture text is Isaiah, chapter 35.
Reminder: This is the 2nd Sunday to bring in non-perishable food items for our Annual Thanksgiving Service which will be held next Sunday evening, the 19th.
