What We Sow and How We Sow

This Sunday in the Auditorium, Pastor Ray continues his sermon series called A Man For All Seasons.  This week’s themes is Autumn, a time of reaping what has been sown. It’s a time of anticipation and expectation…this will be the focus of Ray’s message.
What can we expect to reap in the Autumn season of the soul? We’ll see that it depends on two things: What We Sow and How We Sow.
Ray’s message is titled “That’s What I Expected” and our Scripture passages are Galatians chapter 6 and II Corinthians chapter 9.
In the Chapel, Pastor Bill begins a 3 sermon series called What Is Wrong With Us.   In Mark’s gospel, Jesus tells His disciples, “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisee.” Why didn’t He simply say, “Watch out for the sin of the Pharisees?”
There must be something more here. And sure enough, there is. By calling sin “yeast”, Jesus helps us understand how sin works. Bill’s sermon is titled Sin As Yeast.  Scripture text: Mark 7:25-30 and Mark 8:11-17.
