“Hello Darkness My Old Friend”

This Sunday Pastor Ray begins a 4-week series in the Auditorium called A Man For All Seasons.   Life can be described as “seasonal” and over the course of the next 4 weeks we’ll be exploring our lives using the 4 seasons to help us understand what we go through. At the heart of our lives is A Man For All Seasons – Jesus.
We begin with a season of Winter, and Ray’s message is titled Darkness Is Your Closest Friend. It comes from the final words found in Psalm 88 which reads “…the darkness is my closest friend.”
Go ahead and read Psalm 88 in its entirety to prepare for Sunday’s message.
One aspect of Ray’s message will include the taking of communion. All those receiving communion will come to the front to receive the bread and the cup before returning to their seats.
Pastor Shaun wraps up our King Me sermon series in the Chapel with a message titled How To Avoid King Me.   The King Me mentality can be summed up with this phrase: “I can do what I want, when I want, with whom I want.” Similar to the American Dream? Our Scripture text is Judges 1 and 2.
