There is a part-time position opening up in the Church Office and we are now receiving applications. Here are some of the details:
Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week in 2017. Some weeks there may be more due to vacations, special events at the church, etc.
Hourly Rate: $12/hour
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons until 4:00pm will be standard. Other hours are more flexible and will be dictated by the specific need (coverage for illness, vacation, special church events).
Hiring Process: Position is initially advertised within the congregation. If no one from within the church is interested or qualified, search may expand outside of the congregation. A Sub-Committee from the Church Board (which will include the Administrative Pastor) will interview those applicants who are most qualified and then submit a recommendation to the Church Board for final approval.
Answers to: Administrative Pastor (or designee)
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
• The primary area of responsibility will be filling the role of Child Abuse Prevention Coordinator.
Other responsibilities may include:
• Graphic Design
• Assisting with the Church Auction
• Assisting with the Church Christmas Dinners
Qualifications/Skills (Include but are not limited to):
Must be able to provide genuine care for anyone from our congregation or community contacting the church office for any need.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in graphic design is desirable.
Must be highly organized/detail oriented and able to keep abreast with current laws in regards to Child Abuse Prevention.
