When we kicked off our King Me series last Sunday, Pastor Shaun shared a horrific story that took place during the time of the Judges. When we listen to a story like that, from long ago or even from the present, we often say “That will never happen to me.”
But because there is some degree of King Me in every one of us, every one of us is capable of doing, saying, thinking things that can cause our lives to fall apart. This Sunday Pastor Ray picks up where Shaun left off, bringing a message titled Avoiding Collapse. How does it (collapse) happen? How can I avoid it?
Pastor Bill begins a 4-week series in the Chapel this Sunday. It’s called Life Happens – Learning From Joseph. This is a series that Bill brought in the Auditorium back in February. This Sunday’s message is titled Silence is Not Absence. Our Scripture text is Genesis 37.
The series begins with a family that is about to be blown apart. The father (Jacob) is showing favoritism to one of his sons. That son (Joseph) comes across as a spoiled brat. Joseph’s brothers grow bitter towards him. And when the family blows, it sets into motion an incredible chain of events that will ultimately lead to the salvation of the family.
