This Sunday…

…we begin 2 new Sermon Series.   Pastor Brian begins a series called Holy Spirit in our Midst. Ray begins a series titled Finding Intimacy With God.

Holy Spirit in our Midst (8:00 Auditorium/11:00 Chapel)

Power! What if it were possible to source unlimited power? Imagine running every electrical device in your home for free! There was a man who thought it might be possible, and we will see who this intellectual dynamo was, and maybe shed some light onto what he was thinking. All of that intended to generate interest in a wholly different sort of power – The Power at Pentecost. We will discover that, as the Body of Christ, we have access to the limitless power of God the Holy Spirit dwelling in our midst! From Acts 2:1-18, Brian will preach about the Holy Spirit’s power manifested at Pentecost – and how we might access His power today.

Finding Intimacy With God (Auditorium 9:30 and 11:00)

This Sunday we begin two short weeks thinking about how we can use the practice of prayer as a means of finding intimacy with God. Ray begins by recounting his experience this week finding himself just 200 yards from the path of a tornado. This will tend to lead one to pray. But isn’t prayer meant to be more than just a cry for rescue from storms? Yes it is. In the practice of prayer we find ourselves falling in love with the God who loves us.  This week we consider Being Still in order to listen to God and meditate on Him and His great love for us.
