One-Upmanship

The habit of one-upmanship. We are notorious for doing it.   You tell me a story about some success that you’ve had. I have to top it with a story of my own.
This Sunday Pastor Ray brings the message as we read about an amazing woman (Elizabeth, the mother of John) who chose joy when she could have been set back by someone (Mary, the mother of Jesus.) outdoing her.
Ray message is titled Even When Someone Steals Your Thunder, Choose Joy  and he will have us look at Elizabeth’s Story…Elizabeth Outdone…Elizabeth’s Legacy.
Pastor Brian brings the message – God’s Word Never Fails – in the Chapel at 11. Last week Brian had us look at Zechariah, and by contrast this week we’ll be looking at the faith of Mary.
Brian’s main points: The Word Dwelling in our Midst…The Word Without Fear of Favor…the Word Never Fails
