30 Minutes

During the 11:00 service:  “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”
Yesterday during his message Bill talked about how the shepherds were deeply impacted by what they saw and heard from the angel(s) in the fields outside of Bethlehem.
While the authors of the Bible in some cases literally saw angels, or had revelations straight from God, or in the case of the apostles, knew Jesus on a personal level…we don’t get angels and we don’t get to see Jesus face to face. We get a Book.
“The Bible is a long book and is by no means a simple read. Preachers and teachers are famously flawed…and yet the Scriptures contain treasure of infinite value.” (Keller)
And so Bill challenged us to ponder the words found in the Scriptures.   He encouraged us to take 30 minutes at some point this week to write down any insight from Philippians 1:6b which reads…
“…he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
