Contemplating Your Navel?

“To spend time complacently considering oneself or one’s own interest at the expense of the wider view.”   This is a good definition of what it means to contemplate your navel.
This is also the title of Pastor Bill’s message this Sunday as we turn our attention to I Corinthians 12 where Paul addresses the topic of spiritual gifts…which are given for the common good.
The church in Corinth however, was experiencing division due to a warped understanding of spiritual gifts. We’ll be talking about how God’s Spirit works through us in different ways…How to discern our spiritual gifts…and close with a word of warning.
Pastor Adam brings the message in the Chapel service at 11:00. His message is titled “Unity, Not Uniformity.”
There will be two baptisms taking place in the Auditorium. Bonnie Havens will be baptized at the conclusion of the 9:30 service, while Ali Sollenberger will be baptized at the end of the 11:00 service.
