The Man Above the River

Sandy Gray, Rachel Frey & Mervin Frey provide Special Music during the 8:00 Service.
“Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.” So said the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river. This is part of what we looked at yesterday morning as Pastor Adam brought the final sermon in our summer Daniel series.
In Daniel 12 we read about the sealing of the words…and in Marks’s gospel, Jesus goes into Galilee, proclaiming the good news and saying “The time has come.”
Jesus has come to bring an end to human exile, human wandering; this sense of homelessness we have. Adam said, “When you understand the meaning of what’s behind the end times seals, the insight it gives you is one that every time you work the earth, and go about daily living, and participate in beauty, art, dance, and tilling the earth, it is an act of priestly worship to God in the heavenlies.”

Next week we begin our Fall sermon series called Living Out the New Life. It will be study from I Corinthians.
