“Too Much” or “Not Enough”?

Here at Five Forks – and most likely at many churches – there is this tension that exists between talking about money “too much” or “not enough”. Some believe that all the church wants is their money. Others recognize that generous giving is a part of the spiritual growth journey that many of us are on…and we shouldn’t be afraid to talk about it.

And so this Sunday as we continue our 3-week series on Finances, Pastor Bill will be speaking in the Auditorium on Generosity. His message is titled “The Benchmark.” There is found in the Scriptures a group of Believers who have established a standard, a benchmark that is held out there for the Church to follow when it comes to giving generously. And more significantly, there is an even greater benchmark that we need to consider as we look to grow and mature as followers of Christ.

Ray kicked off our Finance Series in the Auditorium last Sunday with a message on Greed (Greed’s Constant Tug), and he’ll bring this message at the 11:00 service in the Chapel. He’ll be challenging us to consider the greed that often lies hidden deep within our hearts.
