Easter Sermon Series – “Once And For All”

“Whoever Hears These Words”...over the past several weeks, we’ve been looking at the words of Jesus in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) and the reason is because “Who said it…matters!”  What Jesus says matters, because He is the Master of Life, and so we’ve been learning how to live life His way.  As we approach April, we are coming to the end of Matthew 5, so we will be taking a break from this series to spend a few weeks focusing our attention on the Easter Season.

Beginning next week, Sunday, March 31st, we’ll be embarking on an Easter journey called “Once And For All”.  I was thinking that, often, on Easter Sunday, we go right to the story of the resurrection and some of the supporting characters get left out.  So this year, to help us prepare, we’re going to look at the story of Easter from the perspectives of some of the characters who typically get overlooked:  Joseph of Arimathea, Mary Magdalene, and Barabbas…each one impacted in different ways by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.  More than that, as we dive into their stories, I think you will soon discover that each of their stories is very much like your story and my story.  Pastors Shaun (Auditorium) and Bill (Chapel) will bring us this 4-week series.

We look forward to celebrating Easter with you at Five Forks!
